We heart IKEA

...beacuse:

  • IKEA is completely kid-friendly.  It's a hands-on, try it out, sit-on-it, lay-on-it, swing-on-it kind of store.

  • They have free child care.  You can drop your little ones off at their "Smal land" for up to an hour if you would rather shop in peace.  (There is a height requirement and I think they have have to be potty trained, too)

  • If the childcare is full, you can check out a hand-held video game system for your little one's enjoyment.

  • IKEA has everything.  The place is huge. HUGE. I still get lost there. However, it's a happy kind of lost, because there is so much to look at while you figure out where you are.

  • Princess cake from their cafe. YUM! This is a small round marzipan cake.  It costs about $1.29, and it tastes like heaven. Someone once told me it's made with rose water. What else can make you feel like a princess more than eating something made from roses?

  • The prices are sooo low, it's a bargain hunter's dream.

  • I always seem to leave IKEA filled with ideas and inspiration. I love it!

  • The last reason we love IKEA is...you can take all the pictures you want without scary security guys threatening to take away your camera.

I had no idea IKEA rocked like that. I've never been in one!

I haven't been to an IKEA either. Now that I'm back in UT, I don't have any excuses. I need to go.

Our nearest IKEA is about an hour away, so I haven't been there yet. But now I just might have to go.

Kellie, I love your new look! I haven't been to an Ikea in years and I know my kids would love it. Now I need to see where the closet one is! hahaha. Love your pictures.

Some really great pics Kellie! Looks like a great trip to Ikea. I love going there too, if only it wasn't SUCH a freaking madhouse to ever park.

Sweet new playlist Kellie. Also LOVE IKEA (but you knew that didn't you?) In order to enter the magic realm of Smaland your child DOES need to be potty trained. This is great incentive for them to "get on the ball" about doing their thang in the appropriate place :) Enjoy the Lingonberry juice!

I LOVE IKEA. Our nearest one is 3 hours away (atlanta). We love it so much that 2 years ago, my best friend and I rented a cargo van to go down there and buy furniture. I so wish Nashville would get one or I still lived in SLC!

I love the apple cake! ;)

I LOVE IKEA. I've only been a couple times, but last time I went I ended up spending way more than I'd planned to. My mother-in-law has that blue swing that the kids are swinging on. They've got it hung on a tree outside and the grandkids just love it! The uncles like to put a couple kids on it and twist it up really tight then let go and see if the kids can hang on while they spin into delirium.
